It’s been a difficult year, hasn’t it? Between a pandemic, to the shortages in parts causing delays the world over, let alone the widespread underestimation towards the global pandemic, it would be understandable to look back on the last year with dismay. But, in my world despite this, you have all brightened each and every day, and thus, it feels prudent to explain how you’ve all had such an impact on me, the company, and the industry in general.
Our Product Releases
Since last year, and despite the hardship we’ve all suffered over the course of the last (nearly) 2 years, we’ve in turn had 2 wonderful product re-releases in the form of the BB29 and the V12 - both of which have, thanks to you, sold out quickly.
If you’ve been living under a rock, you may have missed both of these; but fear not, I shall describe why they are such successful and well loved tools. The BB29, our 2020 release, became instantly popular. Throughout the last year, we’ve had such an influx of new clients due to the remodel and rebrand of the beloved Blue Microphones Bluebell, in the form of the BB29. Post after post, question after question, and in all the media articles, nothing negative has been said as far as I’ve seen and I can understand why! My first reaction, to both recording vocals and recording a mono drum room, was to be completely taken aback by the sheer quality of whatever was put in front of it.
As for the V12, well… I think if you ordered within the first 8 hours, you’ll know exactly what I’m about to say. Quite simply, the V12 is the best microphone I’ve ever used - guitar, vocals, drums, you name it, the V12 excels every time. Not only that, but to add to the achievement of bringing the much loved C12 into the modern world in a more user friendly format, you (our customers) sold it out within 8 hours, and then sold out the next pre-order!
Investment, Despite Hardship
As said above, you’ve continued to support us as we’ve in turn supported you all, and it’s not gone unnoticed. I’ll admit, I was surprised by this information, because I had to some extent lost hope that we’d all be OK coming out of this ordeal.
In the face of animosity from an invisible (or visible depending on your political views) enemy, you’ve continually supported our releases and invested in your own futures. After interacting with you all personally, I can wholeheartedly say that your thirst and hunger for creativity has been unwavering. I applaud anyone that has continued to be the best version of themselves during the last year and know for a fact that most of you reading this blog regularly have done just that!
Our Community
If you’re not aware, we started a community within the last few months, and again, despite a pandemic, it’s flourished into something I never imagined being a part of.
We’ve all joined facebook groups in the past, and been underwhelmed by the sort of interaction we find ourselves viewing. However, our community is far from this for one simple reason: it’s exclusive. We only admit members who already own a JZ Product, or have demonstrated a genuine interest in obtaining more information from members of the group.
Because of this exclusivity, there’s not only a wonderful interaction with each and every one of you, but also for me personally this has become more than just a job - I am afforded a much deeper relationship with people in our industry and the opportunity to both learn from and to guide customers toward what is best within their set up.
Given that it’s a time of giving, please allow me to give thanks to you all for making this one of the best years of my life. It’s my privilege to see you into the new year, more motivated than ever to help you all in any way I can.
Until then, have a wonderful Christmas, and until next time; Stay Creative.
